This policy covers cookies and similar storage mechanisms (such as localStorage) used by OpesQ at opesq.com. It complies with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

These cookies are strictly necessary for OpesQ to operate. They do not require your consent under PECR because the platform cannot function without them.

• Authentication cookies– used to keep you signed in after you log in to your account. These are set by our authentication system and expire when your session ends or after a set period of inactivity.
• Session cookies– used to maintain your session state as you navigate between pages.
• CSRF protection cookies– used to protect against cross-site request forgery attacks when you submit forms.
• Cookie consent preference– we store your cookie consent choice in localStorage under the key opesq-cookie-consent so we do not ask you again on every visit.

OpesQ does not currently load any analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics in the future (for example, to understand which features are most used), we will update this policy, bump the cookie-policy version, and ask for your consent again through the banner. Your “Essentials Only” choice will always be respected.

Our hosting provider may set strictly-technical cookies related to infrastructure (such as load balancing). These are functional and do not track you across other websites.

OpesQ does not use social media tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies designed to follow you across the web.

In addition to cookies, OpesQ uses your browser's localStorage for a small number of purposes:

• Cookie consent preference (opesq-cookie-consent) – stores whether you have accepted or declined non-essential cookies.
• Ada chatbot visitor ID– a randomly generated identifier used by the Ada chatbot widget so it can maintain conversation context across page loads. This ID is not linked to your OpesQ account and is not sent to any third party other than Ada.

localStorage data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless specifically described above.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Instructions for common browsers:

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to OpesQ and using the platform.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we introduce new categories of cookies, we will notify you through the consent banner and seek fresh consent where required.
